Keeping core positive performance attributes the same and only tweaking areas for next level performance, based on extensive prototype testing on real kites (not just computer models only chasing gimmicks), and also utilizing feedback from riders around the world..

2017 F-One Bandit V10 -What's New:
For this 10th edition of the F-One Bandit, the
2017 Fone Bandit (B10) went through 10 months of rigorous testing on over 75 separate Bandit v10 prototypes, focusing on power delivery, speed, hang-time, up-wind, linked bar feedback, and maneuverability - with an emphasis on performance with comfort and real-world usability.

Unique Traction: the new 2017 BANDIT provides a unique traction. Powerful enough to achieve early planing, the kite seems to self-regulate naturally to pull you effortlessly. What is most surprising is that we have got rid of the lateral pull so that you can ride with less pressure on your back and in your legs. Riding upwind is amazingly easy, traction is softer and totally regulated.

Refined Speed: Fone started from the idea that everything gets easier if we can ride slower. Things like absorbing the chop, edge and load before jumping, surfing.. so pretty much all we do while riding. The novelty is that the BANDIT X will pull you with less speed without losing its other qualities such as power and boost when you need it.

Refined Stability: When over-powered, the Bandit B10 keeps its performance and the profile remains clean with no distortions. The BANDIT remains stable, comfortable and efficient even in impressively strong winds. All these qualities will benefit all kitesurfers but they will be even more appreciated when riding strapless.

Refined Shape: The wingtips of the BANDIT X are slightly wider and squarer. This brings more maneuverability and a lighter feel. Each size feels a little smaller and more responsive while remaining very intuitive.

Refined Hang Time & Loops: The Bandit's hang-time, boost and lift during the jumps have also been improved. It is easier to send the kite to the zenith thanks to the better control we get when edging and the boost is powerful and clean. The improved profile brings a lot of lift when gliding down. Kite loops are even neater and faster for maximum thrills and ease of use.

Refined Control Bar Response: For this 10th BANDIT, Fone has improved the progressiveness of the bar pressure as you sheet in. The pressure rises step by step as you sheet in giving you a very clear and accurate feedback on the power available. The bar angle required to turn the kite and steer it is low and this allows use of shorter bars. The pressure rises also together with the angle and there is no gap or delay. You know exactly where is the kite without needing to look at it. A new level of direct grip with the kite is achieved - everything feels very natural and intuitive, with no period of adaptation needed to allow for full confidence straight away to throw your latest tricks.
After 10 years of development on the Bandit, Fone has yet again improved and refined each size for its program:
- Larger kites of 11M or more are optimized for power, heavier riders, and light wind riding with a particular focus on lightness and maneuverability which are critical on these sizes. They offer an unprecedented amount of power per square meter and an improved behavior in the upper range.
- Sizes of 8-9-10M are super-efficient in many kinds of winds and disciplines.
- The smaller 5-6-7M kites are targeted at higher winds, smaller riders, and wave riding. Control of the speed of the kite has been improved to help you focus on your carving lines while surfing. Superior control in the upper range and overall comfort are also proofs of the significant developments made towards wave riding as much as the gains in stability, the improvements in bar feeling and maneuverability.

2017 F-One Bandit B10 -Technology Highlights

DELTA C-SHAPE: DELTA C-SHAPE technology design offers unmatched stability and steering response when fully de-powered, with the possibility of connecting the front lines higher on the leading edge of the kite. This shape was the result of extensive design research towards achieving maximum optimization of the aerodynamic performances of the kite and of its depower. It gives the possibility to fit more canopy area in the middle sections to create more projected area while the C Shape makes sure the kite remains responsive and fluid. DELTA C-SHAPE is a patented design used by F-ONE on all kites for the past 10 years.

EVO De-Power & Life Line System: The EVO De-power concept is a simple 4 line system with a 4m long Life Line featuring a V shaped bridle with a pulley system on each of the front lines. This simple system offers complete safety and allows for increased de-power by finely tuning the angle of attack of the kite. When the quick release is activated the EVO system becomes the Life Line and the kite lands safely on its back with immediate and total power kill. EVO De-power offers complete control with direct and responsive steering in all riding conditions. Sheeting the bar in and out is very progressive even with the kite fully de-powered. Unhooked the kite remains light and very predictable, inspiring confidence so you can progress faster.

Auto Re-Launch: Once the kite is sitting with the leading edge flat on the water, its C-shape associated with the Delta Pivot allows the kite to automatically roll over onto one wing tip. The kite will then glide towards the edge of the window, ready for quick and easy water re-launch.

Force Frame: The FORCE FRAME is a solid Dacron structure consisting of the leading edge, the trailing edge and the struts. This high strength skeleton structure is then covered with lightweight Spy material in the least vulnerable areas. Kites with extended de-power ranges sustain more pressure across the canopy as they experience an increased frequency of use over a wider wind range. Consequently F-ONE has developed a completely new structure for the Bandit, offering optimized durability with no additional weight gain.

Fusion Struts: The struts are fused with the canopy all the way along the canopy profile where they are integrated into the FORCE FRAME. This increases the rigidity of the Force Frame and reduces drag by creating a clean and well balanced structure.

TECHNOFORCE Double Ripstop Fabric: All New super high density fabric with a tear stopping structure using thin and high tension yarn. Unmatched strength, durability, and light weight performance.

Flat Sewing: Stronger assembly of panels, seams are glued and sewn together to make the canopy more rip resistant.

Vertical Cut Struts: The Bandit 8 struts are designed with a vertical cut in order to optimize the strength/diameter ratio.

Streamlined Leading Edge End Tips: The leading edge tips are profiled with a reduced diameter and tip strap to avoid any bridles tangling and drag effect.

Refined Trailing Edge: The internal outline of the trailing edge panels is no more linear but with a series of arches. In the center, dacron has been replaced by a double layer of canopy fabtis which improves tension spreading, maintains profile, and brings new gains in stability and performance.
